New Summer Schedule!


I love cooking at the Market! So join me for one of these Salons coming up. The scenery is gorgeous, the food so fresh and tasty, and the company couldn't be any better. This next series of classes will be about 30 minutes long, where you will see recipes unfold before your eyes, and best of all you get to taste everything. You will also receive all the recipes and a Big Red Kitchen market bag.

When-All Salons are at: 9am, 10:30am, and Noon
Where- Lake Anne Plaza, Reston Virginia
$15/person or $25/couple

July 2- "Baked Cheeses"- Sweet and Savory baked cheeses. We will start with Baked Feta with fresh from the market peppers and onions and finish our tasting with Baked Brie topped with fresh market berries. These two dishes are perfect for a Book Club night or your very own cocktail party.

July 9- "Packing a Picnic for WolfTrap or Virginia's Wine Country"- Learn how to make flavorful Pressed Sandwiches and a succulent Red Cabbage Salad to pack for your next outing. These recipes have proven to travel well and make for delicious picnicking!

July 16- "Brunch"- Everyone loves a nice little brunch once in a while. Scotch Eggs and a fresh Peachy Hot Fruit Salad make a beautiful pairing for your brunch table.


July 23- "Tomatoes Everywhere!" Let's wow ourselves with the abundance of Summer's finest harvest, sweet and juicy tomatoes. I will start you off with Lemon Ricotta Lasagna Caprese which is a twist on the classic Insalata Caprese done cool lasagna style. Then follow this dish with a delicious Stewed Tomato recipe that can be paired with chicken, fish, pasta, or eggs- a beautiful Summertime addition to any meal.

July 30- "Some Like it HOT"- Spicy that is. These two appetizers will definitely get your party started. Andouille and Sweet Potato Kebabs with Lemon-Garlic Mayonnaise and Chorizo Stuffed Dates Wrapped in Bacon.


Aug 6- "Chilled Summer Soups"- Too hot to turn the oven on? How about some chilled Summer soups, like Chunky Gazpacho and Peach Berry Soup, both so refreshing, light, and cool.

Aug 13- "Is it Football Season Yet?"- Time to think about football again, isn't it? In this Salon I will teach you how to make a Spicy Jalapeno Popper Dip and my Famous Sliders, two recipes no fans should be without.
